A consultant psychologist in organisational/occupational psychology, Carol-Ann White has worked extensively in educational and other organisations, specializing in management and organisation development, the appraisal and evaluation of organisational performance, leadership competence, internal communication, motivation and the psychological contract between organisations and their members.

She has completed projects with the Welsh National Assembly and local authorities in London and elsewhere in the United Kingdom. With research associates, the Q and A Partnership, she has developed internet-based and other studies of management performance, team effectiveness and senior management stress. A chartered psychologist with the British Psychological Society, she holds master’s degrees in occupational and educational psychology.


Jon White is a consultant specializing in management and organisation development, public affairs and public relations management who has worked in public and private sector organisations in the United Kingdom and elsewhere in Europe, the United States, South Africa, Australia and Canada, where he lived from 1972 to 1986. He is an Associate of Henley Management College, an honorary professor at the University of Birmingham School of Business, and a visiting professor at USI Lugano, Switzerland. A former faculty member and director of public affairs with Cranfield School of Management, he is currently a member of the managing board of the Global Public Affairs Institute in New York.

His writing includes articles on public affairs, public relations and corporate communications management, and books on Strategic Communications Management: Making Public Relations Work, with Laura Mazur (Addison-Wesley, 1995) and public relations management (How to Understand and Manage Public Relations, Business Books, 1991). He has written a number of management case studies for teaching purposes. A chartered psychologist, he holds a doctorate in psychology from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he contributes to graduate teaching in corporate communication. He has made presentations to university and professional groups around the world.
